Jorge Mendoza
Jorge Mendoza, a lifelong resident of Madera, has a passion for service and is driven to empower all people. Jorge is the youngest of three and has two loving parents who have supported and encouraged him through life journies. He attended Madera Schools from Kindergarten until his high school graduation in 2015 from Madera South High School. After high school, Jorge left Madera to follow what he believed was God's call, in serving people as a Catholic Priest. He was in the seminary formation program for five years, four of which he spent at Mount Angel Seminary earning his Bachelors Degree. In May of 2020, Jorge earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in philosophy and religious studies from Mount Angel Seminary, Oregon.

Jorge is driven by a passion for helping people and seeing the community that raised him thrive. His experience has borne much fruit in his endeavors and activities. He marks his accomplishments not by the things he's done, but by the lives changes and the hearts transformed in those he encounters. He is led by a determination to be a leader by being an active listener, a proactive participant, and a prepared leader. His professional dedication to the task at hand and his readiness to lead has enabled him to serve on national boards and form a non-profit organization. Jorge is firm in his beliefs and understands that Madera needs community leaders and representatives on the city council to take the task seriously and tend to the responsibilities entrusted to them. From high school to college, and now as a candidate for city council, Jorge continues to seek ways to serve his community.

For Jorge, the issues facing Madera's community are not just issues to run on during campaigning. They are real issues that are affecting the residents of the Heart of California. Jorge is the candidate Madera needs. His fresh perspective and a renewed spirit of service and accountability will empower Madera, its residents, and guests. Mendoza is with you, for hope, prosperity, and courage, for Madera!
